. . . we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. .
so the next generation would know them . . . and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.

Flying Creatures II

This evening, after a summer rain, we prepared to sit down to dinner when Lane called out, "Look at that bird!"

The brilliant orange glow in the neighbor's tree was impossible to miss but too far off to see clearly. We all peered through the binoculars until finally I decided to risk spooking the bird by walking out the yard to snap his picture.

Here is the result. We believe it is a Baltimore Oriole, which is the first time I've ever sighted one in our neighborhood. 

He did indeed get spooked by the sight of me in the yard, but not before I took a few shots of him.
