Lane was caught lounging in the pew and Toby nodded off next to Grandpa Shimer.
After the program, the kids moved back home after four days staying at Grandma's and Grandpa's house while I was in the hospital with Lydia (Mr. Edwards stayed with us at the hospital). They were very glad to be home and very eager to have their turn with Lydia! We sent them outside to enjoy the spring weather, however.
On Monday, Lydia had several visitors. Aunt Leida and Uncle Doug came from Topeka to meet their new grand-niece (Leida is shown holding Lydia.) We also had Grandma and Grandpa Edwards and my sister and her kids came over. Some other friends brought us pizza for dinner and stayed to eat with us (Thank you so much David and Coreen!)
On Tuesday afternoon, this amazing fruit bouquet was delivered! It was sent by the children's ministry team from church. It tasted as good as it looked.
Lydia had her first bath (at home) on Wednesday.
With her freshly washed hair, we recognized the same soft and fluffy "bonnie brown" hair that Hope had when she was a newborn.
Toby had some great bike-riding time.
Our peony bush began to bloom. This is a bush that we transplanted from Mr. Edwards's grandmother's backyard.
For nine months I've been saying "I-can't-believe-we-are-really-having-a-fifth-baby!" But after one week of Lydia I can't imagine life without her. May God protect her as she grows!
All of our kids took naps with Daddy. Lydia is no exception!
