Psalm 78
. . . we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. .
so the next generation would know them . . . and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.

Buried With Him in Baptism...

...Raised to live a new life!

This week, at our annual trip to family camp, Hope and Sydney were baptized.  It is thrilling to see the work of God's grace in their lives, as they testify to their faith in Jesus Christ in baptism. Pastor Frank led the ceremony as Mr. Edwards had the great privilege of baptizing each of our daughters.

Four other believers were also baptized that afternoon! God is good.

I loved seeing all the photos from previous camps. What a great set of posts to put up while you were away. But these photos are the best. Praising God with you.

It is so great to praise God together about his work in Hope's heart and in Sydney's heart. It makes me feel proud, but I was reconsidering that sentiment this weekend after reading a bit of Bonhoeffer's "The Cost of Discipleship." He wrote something about how we cannot be proud or congratulate ourselves over our salvation because, of course, the grace is unmerited!

Indeed, His grace is unmerited, but I am still proud of my daughters and their response to the gospel and their bravery to be baptized in front of so many people.
