Psalm 78
. . . we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the LORD, his power, and the wonders he has done. .
so the next generation would know them . . . and they in turn would tell their children.
Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.

Spring Update

We've been busy this spring with projects around the house, school activities, and AWANA quizzing. A crawling baby added to the mix makes kitchen renovating and painting walls a little tricky--and slow going.

Tobias was a great help tearing out tile in the kitchen.

Hope and Sydney competed again in the Awana Bible Quizzing Competition. Their team took first place (above). Sydney's paddle quiz (the oral portion of the competition in which the kids raise a paddle with their multiple-choice answer) and written quiz were perfectly done and she was one of just five kids to have perfect overall scores.

Hope had a perfect written test (pictured below with her purple ribbon), and just missed one on the paddle quiz. It was one of the hardest questions, asking which Scripture reference was the support for a particular topic. She was keenly disappointed since it happened to be one we studied multiple times, but we were so proud of the way she handled her disappointment.

Meanwhile, Lydia's nearly one year old!

Lane wished for a basketball hoop in his room. Undeterred, he and his buddy made one.

I was just wondering the other day how you were all going. Lovely to get the update...especially love that little Lydia. So much hair and she looks like a real character. What a joy.
